#Agenda2030: Netherlands embassy in Abuja hosts #SDGsStory hangout

Ambassador of the Royal Kingdom of Netherlands in Nigeria, Robert J. Petri on Thursday hosted a group of young people under the platform of the Nigeria Youths SDGs Network to a SDGs Story hangout at the Netherlands embassy in Abuja.

The SDGs Story hangout is a monthly program of the Nigerian Youths SDGs Network where young people championing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria meet to share stories of their efforts aimed at achieving the Global Goals in Nigeria as well as exchange ideas and best practices in relation to the implementation of the SDGs.

Four short videos were screened at the hangout capturing efforts of young people in Nigeria targeted at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The videos were by youth-led organisations working on various aspects of the SDGs such as Dapper Exclusive Style Limited, working to bring about a a cycling culture in Nigeria and which is linked to about 10 out of the 17 the Global Goals.

A video of Feminine Folks Initiative working with Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) as well as Onfoja Foundation and Helen Asimegbe, whose works centered on quality education and gender equality, Goals 4 and 5, respectively, were also screened.

Similarly, a National #SDGsStory Summit being hosted by the Nigeria Youths SDGs Network is billed to hold at the National Press Center, Radio House, Abuja, on Thursday, September 6, 2018.
