DD Hub showcases apps developed by its fellows in Kano
The Digital Development Hub (DD Hub) Saturday held a one day demonstration event to showcase apps created by the Hub’s tech fellows in the course of their fellowship in Kano. Digital Development Hub (DD Hub) is a tech-based innovation hub that supports the creation of social impact and commercial startups with the aim of fostering development through creativity and innovation.
The chief executive officer of DD Hub, Abdulganiyu Rufa’I, while speaking about the fellowship programme said the Hub was committed to promoting technology, entrepreneurship and innovation across northern Nigeria through mentorship and training for youths aimed at unlocking their potentials.
“We are committed to promoting technology, entrepreneurship and innovation across northern Nigeria and we provide support on how to tackle challenges around establishing businesses through mentorship and training,” said Rufai.
The DD Hub fellows underwent a 6-month long mentoring and training programme on web development, graphics design and app development.
One of the fellows, Usman Abubakar, who developed an app focused on addressing challenges to do with online examination systems said: “I feel very great haven gotten a lot of experience and skills to face the industry competition. I will make sure I build up the solution and make it available at an affordable price.”
