Afrika Youth Movement’s 2nd annual retreat underway in Accra
The Afrika Youth Movement (AYM), a pan-African youth-led movement promoting African youth’s participation in leadership and development processes aimed at transforming Africa is currently hosting its 2nd Annual Retreat and Youth Empowerment Forum in Accra, Ghana. The event is scheduled to last between April 18 and 22, 2018.
“We are working towards creating a continent that respects the rights of all its citizens. Our work promotes values that unite our continent in the principle of Ubuntu which is about unity, self-determination, integrity and accountability,” says press statement signed by Daniel Nwaeze, AYM’s media & communications lead.
“The retreat will also feature AYM’s strategic meeting for a select group of 40 young people actively involved in strengthening the movement, which will fashion out strategies for the implementation of our Action Plan as well as improving the activeness of AYM members.”
On the 22nd of April, 2018 which is the UN’s International Mother Earth Day, AYM will be hosting a forum for over 100 young leaders from across Africa to network and share ideas on the role of African youths in the implementation of Agenda 2063 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Launched in 2015, Afrika Youth Movement (AYM) pride itself as Africa’s largest youth movement with over 10,000 members from across 40 African countries.
