Africa Trade Policy and Media Summit 2025 Postponed to November 27

The Organizing Committee of the Africa Trade Policy and Media Summit (ATPMS) 2025 has announced a new date for the landmark event — now set to take place on November 27, 2025 in Accra, Ghana, citing inclusivity and stronger partnerships as reasons for the rescheduled date.

Originally scheduled for October 30, the Organizing Committee says Summit was postponed following extensive consultations with key stakeholders to ensure broader participation and a more impactful convening.

Enhancing Inclusivity and Strategic Engagement

According to the organizers, the decision to reschedule reflects a deliberate effort to enhance inclusivity and strengthen partnerships across Africa’s trade and media ecosystem.

“The extra time will allow for the expansion of the Summit’s scope, stronger international representation, and deeper engagement with private sector and media partners across the continent,”

Under the theme “Shaping Africa’s Trade Future: Policy, Media and Innovation as Drivers of Inclusive Growth under AfCFTA,” ATPMS 2025 will bring together trade experts, policymakers, business leaders, journalists, and development partners to discuss the intersection of trade policy, communication, and innovation in advancing the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Media and Policy: A Shared Vision for AfCFTA

The 2025 Summit aims to bridge the long-standing gap between policy formulation and media engagement, spotlighting the media’s role in amplifying Africa’s trade success stories and shaping narratives around inclusive economic transformation.

Organizers say the event will also serve as a capacity-building platform for journalists covering trade and economic development — equipping them with tools to tell data-driven, solutions-oriented stories about the AfCFTA’s impact.

Partnerships Remain Intact, New Opportunities Open

All previously agreed partnerships, speaker engagements, and invitations remain valid, the Organizing Committee confirmed. The extended timeline, they added, provides an opportunity to onboard additional collaborators from both the public and private sectors to broaden the Summit’s reach and influence.

In a joint statement, Trade Forum TV and the AfCFTA Business Club, co-organizers of ATPMS, expressed appreciation to all partners for their continued support and patience.
