AAIPS 2025: Ethiopian Airlines, Air Peace Named Official Airline Partners, Offer Exclusive Discounts for Delegates

The Organizing Committee of the 6th All Africa Intellectual Property Summit (AAIPS 2025) has announced Ethiopian Airlines and Air Peace as the official airline partners for the upcoming summit, scheduled for 12–14 November 2025 in Dakar, Senegal.

African Newspage is the official media partner of the 6th All-Africa Intellectual Property Summit (AAIPS 2025).

Themed: “Building an Inclusive IP Ecosystem for Africa’s Future”, this year’s summit marks a major milestone in advancing Africa’s intellectual property (IP) and innovation agenda. By partnering with Ethiopian Airlines and Air Peace, AAIPS 2025 is making participation more accessible for innovators, policymakers, creatives, and investors from across the continent and beyond.

Delegates attending AAIPS 2025 will benefit from 20% discounted fares with Air Peace and 12% discounts with Ethiopian Airlines, easing travel logistics and lowering barriers to participation.

Mr. Sand Mba Kalu, Chairman of AAIPS, hailed the partnerships as a bold step toward inclusion: “The All Africa IP Summit is not just a conference—it’s a movement to reimagine Africa’s intellectual property landscape. Partnering with Ethiopian Airlines and Air Peace ensures participants from all corners of Africa can join us in Dakar without barriers. This collaboration reflects our commitment to accessibility, representation, and engagement.”

Building on the success of the 5th AAIPS held in Kigali, Rwanda, in 2024, the Dakar edition will convene leading IP experts, policymakers, entrepreneurs, creatives, academics, and investors for three days of policy dialogue, exhibitions, research presentations, and networking opportunities.

In a related development, AAIPS 2025 had recently also opened its doors for exhibition to innovators, inventors, creators, practitioners, and other stakeholders to showcase their products and services at the upcoming Summit in Dakar. “With Africa’s knowledge economy surging—African startups raised $289 million in January 2025 alone, a 240% year-on-year increase—AAIPS 2025 provides an opportunity to display innovations, forge strategic partnerships, and amplify visibility across the continent and beyond,” said a statement by AAIPS 2025 Secretariat.

Organized annually by the Africa Intellectual Property Centre (AIPC), an initiative of the International Trade and Research Centre (ITRC), AAIPS continues to drive institutional IP capacity, foster regional cooperation, and promote policies that position IP as a catalyst for Africa’s sustainable development.
