2024 All Africa IP Summit Collaborate with Africa in Colors as Local Partners in Rwanda
As the countdown for the 5th All Africa IP Summit continues, the organizers of the premier African IP event, the International Trade and Research Centre (ITRC), are collaborating with Africa in Colors, as a local organizing partner for the event.
As the Summit’s local partner in Rwanda, Africa in Colors, an agency that seeks to empower Africa’s creative industries through innovation, culture, and technology, will play a critical role in hosting and curating the upcoming event scheduled for November 28 – 30 at Kigali Serena Hotel in Kigali, Rwanda, under the theme: “Intellectual Property Rights: A Catalyst for Sustainable Development Goals in Africa”, leaves a lasting impact on the continent’s innovation ecosystem.”
The partnership was an outcome of a meeting in Kigali, Rwanda on the sidelines of Biashara Afrika Business Forum, between Mr. Sand Mba-Kalu, Chairman of the All Africa IP Summit, and Mr. Raoul Rugamba, Founder of Africa in Colors. Both ITRC and Africa in Colors share a common belief in the crucial role of strong IP frameworks fostering innovation, protecting local knowledge, and promoting economic growth.
A press statement by the 5th All Africa IP Summit Secretariat said the partnership with Africa in Colours seeks to ensure that the upcoming summit leaves the desired impact on Africa’s IP and innovation ecosystem. As the event draws near, the statement emphasizes that the 2024 Africa IP Summit will empower African innovators and businesses to thrive in the global IP landscape.
“Our shared commitment is to ensure that the All Africa IP Summit becomes a platform for solution-driven discussions on how Africa can harness intellectual property to accelerate sustainable development. This partnership, forged between the All Africa IP Summit and Africa in Colours, promises to deliver a powerful and inclusive summit experience, bringing together innovators, thought leaders and policymakers to discuss the future of IP in Africa,” said the statement.
