After its Successful National Roundtable, NFNV Nigeria’s Webinar on Trade, Export holds Oct. 7

In the aftermath of its successful 2nd national roundtable on bridging the wealth-gender gap in Nigeria held last week in Abuja, Nigeria, New Faces, New Voices (NFNV) Nigeria – Women in Business, Trade and Export  is set to hold a Webinar on October 7th. 

The half-day virtual forum, which is themed “Women in Business, Trade & Export – A Roadmap to Resilience – An Entrepreneur’s Journey,” will take place on Saturday, October 7th, 2023, between 9:30am and 12 noon WAT.

NFNV Nigeria is a network of women in finance under the Graça Machel Trust, which comprises a cohort of accomplished women in the realms of business and finance operating in Nigeria and West Africa. Its primary mission is to amplify the voices of women and youth while fostering diversity and inclusion. The network has been at the forefront of the Women Leadership and Financial Inclusion agenda in Nigeria.

Among others, the objectives of the webinar are to analyse the inhibitors to assessing government and private finance capital in relation to closing the gender-wealth gap in Nigeria; leverage existing opportunities for women in Business, Trade and Export in relation to gender-related and gender-neutral challenges.

Others are to examine the socio-economic ecosystem so as to foster gender-sensitive public and private policies to boost women’s business, trade and export opportunities, as well as propose actions to ensure functional and implementable strategies for greater economic inclusion for women.

NFNV Nigeria collaborates with corporate entities and NGOs to curate business skills workshops and financial literacy training for its targeted demographic in Nigeria and across West Africa. The upcoming webinar is under NFNV Nigeria’s Women Leadership and Financial Inclusion (WLFI) Project, which focuses on exploring avenues for women-owned businesses to reposition themselves for a post-Covid economic resurgence.
