The training which was aimed at educating stakeholders at the LGA level on the importance of girl-child education and proving ways of reenrolling girls back to school by liaising with community leaders, village heads, teachers and other influential members of the community; brought together members of school-based management committees (SBMCs), staff of Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), as well as staff of LGA social mobilization unit.

Shehu Na’ Abba, deputy director in charge monitoring and evaluation at the Kano State Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, who facilitated the training session explained the most effective strategies for the conduct of enrollment drive campaign, stressing the fact that since it was where governance was closest to the people, the LGA was the most crucial level of engagement, in terms of creating positive attitudinal change towards education and increasing parental demand.

Na’ Abba stated that some of the most effective strategies for the conduct of EDC towards increased parental demand for education were community-level dialogue, advocacy and sensitization as well as engagement with mothers associations, community development associations (CDAs), community-based organizations (CBOs) as well as Parents Teachers Associations (PTAs).
