NEW YORK, United States of America, September 22, 2017,-/African Media Agency (AMA)/- The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Hery Rajaonarimampianina, President of the Republic of Madagascar. The Secretary-General underscored the importance of progress on national reconciliation to ensure peaceful and inclusive elections in 2018.
They exchanged views on the Government’s efforts to implement the 2030 Agenda. The Secretary-General and President Rajaonarimampianina also discussed the implementation of the Peacebuilding Priority Plan for Madagascar, as well as UN support for elections.
